• To-Do List for International Students

    • Apply for admission to The New School. International students studying on an F-1 or J-1 student visa are eligible for merit-based aid consideration, which is part of the admission process.
    • Review your estimated Cost of Attendance and develop a preliminary budget. Include all of your resources and expenses for one academic year.  
    • Search and apply for external scholarships.
    • Once you are admitted, log in to your MyNewSchool portal and review your award notification.
    • If you need additional financing, review options such as private loans and monthly payment plans. Private loans require a U.S. co-signer.
    • If you have exhausted all of these options and need additional scholarship aid, complete the Financial Aid Appeal Application.

Graduates

To apply to any of our Master's, Doctoral, Professional Studies Diploma, and Graduate Certificate programs, complete and submit the New School Online Application.
