For the 2020-2021 academic year, the university has allocated $17.5 million that will support a one-time technology grant for all students as well as general pandemic aid for those with the greatest demonstrated need. We hope this funding will help offset financial challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic has created for so many of our students and their families. Read more about the grants and visit our FAQ.
Financial Aid at The New School
Most students need some help in planning for funding their education. The Office of Financial Aid assists students and their families with developing a plan to cover the billable and non-billable costs of attending college.
There are several types of financial aid that you may be eligible for, which include free aid like grants and scholarships, earned aid such as Federal Work-Study, and borrowed aid like student loans, which must be paid back. For information on eligibility
and instructions for applying, please see Apply for Aid and navigate to the section that applies to you. If you would like to speak with a financial aid counselor, please visit our office or contact us by phone
or email.
