Recent Updates: Visit our COVID-19 Community Guide for information about in-person teaching and learning this fall.

  • In order to reduce the risk of COVID-19 exposure for students needing medical care, Student Health Services is changing how students access university medical services. At the start of the semester, medical providers will be available to speak with students via email and telemedicine appointments.

Providers will assess students’ needs and help them come up with a plan to receive the care that’s best for them. All students can access our virtual medical services at no charge. However, insurance must be used to cover the costs if diagnostic tests, X-rays, lab tests, and other outside services are ordered; depending on your plan, deductibles and copayments may apply.

To schedule a virtual appointment or ask a question, email shs@newschool.edu. Learn more about telehealth in our Virtual Medicine FAQ

Some in-person visits are expected to resume later in the fall semester.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call Emergency Medical Services at 911 or go to your nearest hospital emergency department.
