    DRAPESCAPE
Drapescape is a transformative initiative aimed at providing visitors to the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore with an escape from mundane reality, inviting them into an alternate world where fabric serves as a means of exploring environmental consciousness and religious teachings. Its central theme is raising awareness about fabric pollution caused by fast fashion and promoting sustainability by repurposing reclaimed materials. Incorporating fabric designs into the mosque's symmetrical architecture, Drapescape is aimed at enhancing its aesthetic appeal while delivering a powerful message about conservation.

The project features four immersive textile modules: Fabric Swing, Fabric Ring, Fabric Sensorium, and Fabric Gallery. These installations allow visitors to engage with reclaimed fabrics through touch and other senses, showcasing local embroidery techniques and artisanal skills and fostering a deep connection with the message of reuse. Drapescape serves not only as a platform for education but also as a retreat from the scorching heat of Lahore, providing shade and a sanctuary for relaxation.

Drapescape also encourages visitors to connect with nature by offering opportunities to give alms to crows and other birds, creating a sense of reciprocity and spiritual alignment with the environment. The project's significance extends beyond religious symbolism, encompassing broader themes of perseverance and longevity that resonate with worshippers and tourists alike.

Drapescape transcends its role as a mere architectural intervention; it becomes a catalyst for introspection, education, and rejuvenation. By immersing visitors in a world of reclaimed fabrics and environmental consciousness, it not only enriches their experience of the mosque but also inspires them to reflect on their role in preserving the natural world.
