The Office of Admission offers appointments for prospective applicants and family members who would like to meet individually with an admission counselor to identify best-fit programs and discuss the admission process. 

Students interested in our bachelor's degree programs should register for one of our Undergraduate Admission Appointments. Students interested in our associate's degree programs should register for one of our AAS Admission Appointments.

Student-led campus tours introduce visitors to our academic facilities. Student housing is not included. Only those with appointments will be able to tour campus. Please register for the tour most appropriate for your interests:

Undergraduate Programs Tours
These 90-minute student-led campus tours introduce visitors to the undergraduate academic facilities at Parsons School of Design, Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts, and/or the College of Performing Arts. These tours provide a broad, general overview of campus facilities frequented by undergraduate students at The New School. Those seeking a more focused introduction to a particular area of study are encouraged to register for a school-specific tour.

Parsons Undergraduate Programs Campus Tours
These 60-minute student-led campus tours introduce visitors to the undergraduate academic facilities at Parsons School of Design. Those seeking a more general and broad overview of undergraduate study at The New School, including study at Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts and/or the College of Performing Arts, are encouraged to register for an Undergraduate Programs tour. 

We limit registrants to one guest to provide the best overall experience for visitors and accommodate the maximum number of prospective students on our tours. Many of our facilities, including elevators and hallways, cannot accommodate large groups. If not fully booked, we may allow more than one guest to join a tour at the guide's discretion. We appreciate your understanding.

These events are for high school juniors interested in applying to undergraduate programs at The New School. We provide students and families with information about navigating the college search process, preparing an application for admission, financing a college education, and what it's like to study at The New School in New York City.

Start Your College Search at The New School

Join The New School for a special virtual event designed for high school juniors beginning their college search for fall 2027.

At this event, students and families will learn how to:

• Navigate the college search process
• Prepare a strong application for admission
• Evaluate and choose between offers of admission
• Understand financial aid and the cost of college
• Explore what it’s like to study at The New School in New York City

Prospective students will also have the opportunity to connect with current students and admission staff, learn more about our undergraduate degree and pre-college programs, and gain confidence in identifying the college that’s the right fit for them.

National Portfolio Day events are held virtually and in person in multiple locations across the United States, Canada, and Europe.

These annual events provide students with the unique opportunity to meet individually with representatives from accredited art and design colleges and universities. Portfolio reviews are strongly encouraged for applicants who plan to pursue higher education in the visual arts and related fields. At these meetings, school representatives will be available to review your artwork, discuss programs, and answer questions about professional careers in art and design.

Meet with a Parsons undergraduate admissions representative for a virtual portfolio review!

These portfolio review sessions give undergraduate prospective students the opportunity to meet one-on-one with an admissions representative and discuss work being considered for inclusion in the portfolio as part of an application to Parsons School of Design.

All appointments are held Eastern Standard Time. Be prepared to share digital documentation of your portfolio. Please include your best and most recent work. Works-in-progress and sketchbooks are also welcome.
