Environmental Policy and Sustainability Management MS and Sustainability Strategies Certificate
Applicants may submit an academic or professional writing sample of 8 to 12 pages in English. Published or unpublished academic or analytic research papers are acceptable, as are professional reports, white papers, policy memos and creative publications, maps, and designs. Writing samples that demonstrate your written communication skills, public or urban policy or environmental or sustainability management interests, or creative practice are welcome.

Fashion Studies applicants are not required to submit a traditional portfolio. They must submit a program essay (250–500 words) and may submit a video recording (maximum of five minutes). The essay should be submitted in the Program Questions section of the online application; videos should be submitted in the Portfolio section of the online application.

Media Management applicants are encouraged to provide a writing sample. The writing sample can be an academic or analytic paper, draft business plan or sales pitch, professional report, or combination of writing samples that you feel reflect your strengths as an applicant to the program. Please submit a single document no more than 20 pages in length. The writing sample must be uploaded with your online application.
Media Studies MA
We strongly encourage applicants to submit an 8- to 12-page writing sample in English. This submission may be a research paper submitted for a course, an excerpt from a senior thesis, or a journal article. The paper should demonstrate your critical thinking abilities and writing skill and should make proper use of citations. The paper should be relevant to media studies but can address other topics in the humanities and social sciences.
