Yvette Chaparro is an Assistant Professor of Product and Industrial Design in the School of Constructed Environments.
She is an educator and industrial designer. Yvette Chaparro Studio’s clients include Restoration Hardware, Ammara Designs, Villeroy & Boch, Kate Spade, Prym Consumer, West Elm, Ralph Lauren, and others. In addition to her studio work, she served as brand leader for products for Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, and more while working for Global Brands Group and Springs Global. Yvette is the former director of the MFA Industrial Design programme and has been teaching product and industrial design at Parsons since 2015. She has also taught at the Academy of Art University.
Yvette holds a PhD by practice from Liverpool John Moores University, a Master of Industrial Design from Pratt Institute, and an undergraduate Professional degree in Industrial Design from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. She also participated in the Scandinavian Furniture Design Programme through the University of Copenhagen’s international study programme.
