         Profile 
	Susan Cottle Alberto received her M.F.A. from The New York Academy of Art Graduate School of Figurative Art, and her B.F.A. from Montserrat College of Art. Susan has taught at New School since 2001, and has also taught at John's University and The New York Academy of Art. International appointments have included SACI, Florence, Italy, St. John’s University, Rome and Montserrat College of Art, Viterbo where she also served as Program Co-Director. Susan has organized and taught semi-annual plein air painting workshops in New York, and Pinzolo, Italy and has exhibited in the US and Abroad.  Susan was awarded an Artist Residency with the National Park Service at Petrified Forest National Park, Arizona. Susan’s oil, gouache, watercolor and collage paintings of the figure, objects and landscapes, bring together observed and imagined spaces.
