Mia Wright-Ross is a leathercraft’s artist who focuses her works in footwear & accessory design, sculpture, and lifestyle tools. She is the creative director and founder of MWR Collection, a luxury lifestyle artisan brand handcrafted in New York City, and currently sold in Japan. She has also been a leading designer for a number of contemporary designer brands, including Calvin Klein, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Saks 5th Avenue, and Tibi. At Tibi, she was the Senior Footwear & Accessories Designer, where she oversaw all design & development in Italy & Brazil for 4 years. Presently, she is Adjunct Professor of Shoe Construction 1 & 2 at Parsons The New School of Design, a Freelance Footwear & Accessories Consultant for multiple brands, and the 2020 Artist Fellow at The Museum of Art & Design. Her design client list includes J. Cole, CVSolange, Robert Glasper, Carmelo Anthony, Jimmy Butler, and work has been published in Footwear News, Harper’s Bazaar, Ebony Magazine, & Vogue.
