    Kent Hikida

    Profile

    Kent Hikida, AIA is an architect and educator who lives in New York City. 
    He is a principal at The Switzer Group, focusing on interior architecture projects for corporate and higher education clients. 
    His prior work experience includes: Gensler, HLW, Gaetano Pesce Studio, Michael Sorkin Studio, and Steven Holl Architects. 
    He has taught at Parsons since 1998, and has taught courses in the AAS ID, MFA ID, and M.Arch programs. 
    He has taught at Pratt Institute since 1994, and has taught courses in the B.Arch, M.Arch, and Construction Management programs. 
    He a member of the AIA, holds an NCARB certificate, and is a licensed architect in New York, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia. He is a LEED AP ID&C; CDT; and CCCA.
    Kent has lived in Manhattan since 1987, and in Greenwich Village since 1994.
    He has an M.Arch from Columbia University's GSAPP, and a BA in Architecture and Literature from Bennington College.
