    Emily Barnett is a painter and printmaker. MFA: Louisiana State University. Major awards include the National Association of Women Artists' Medal of Honor, National Academy of Design, Heckscher Museum, City of Seattle, West Publishing Company, Fine Arts Museum of Long Island, Contemporary Portraiture (awarded by Philip Pearlstein), and a New York Foundation for the Arts Stipend. Selected exhibits: Heckscher Museum Long Island Biennial, 2012, 2010, North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, Zimmerli Art Museum, Islip Art Museum, Wave Hill Gallery, Custer Institute Observatory Gallery, African American Museum of Long Island, Parrish Art Museum, Elaine Benson Gallery, National Academy of Design and the New York Society of Etchers. Residency Grants: Millay Colony and Platte Clove. Selected collections: Zimmerli Art Museum, West Publishing Company, Adelphi University, City of Seattle. Barnett also has experience in the field of interior design.
