Profile
Emily Ann Hoffman is an animator, filmmaker, and artist whose work explores sexuality, body, and vulnerability through a comedic lens. Her films have screened at Sundance, SXSW, Slamdance, and qualified for the Academy Awards. She has been awarded fellowships and residencies with institutes such as the New York Film Festival Artist Academy, Sundance Institute, The Gotham (formerly IFP) and the Jacob Burns Film Center. Her animation and film work has been featured on Netflix, HBO, Quibi, Hulu, Adobe and more. She is a Creative Partner at Mighty Oak, an award-winning woman and queer-owned animation studio that aims to bring the human touch back into the picture. As a fine artist, her paintings and illustrations have sold with Spacey Studios, Yellow Studios and R.A.R.E., and have been featured on It’s Nice That, Architectural Digest, and Fast Company. She has a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and currently teaches adjunct at Parsons, The New School and the School of Visual Arts.
