Tuition Policy and Payment Information
Fall 2024 billing statements will be available in July. Please note that you must either pay your account balance in full or be up-to-date on a payment plan on or before the tuition deadline to remain in good financial standing with the university. To learn more about payment procedures and policies, visit the Tuition, Fees and Billing page.
To view and pay your bill, sign up for a payment plan, or designate a family member to make payments on your behalf, visit the Student Accounts portlet in the Me tab of MyNewSchool.
Be sure to familiarize yourself with the University Refund Policy and Schedule to change your class schedule without financial penalty.
Financial Aid (Domestic Students Only)
All new domestic students who have submitted a tuition deposit should already have completed the financial aid process. If you have not yet applied for aid, visit the Office of Financial Aid website for information and instructions.
If you are eligible for financial aid (or scholarships) and have a completed application on file, you can check the status online by logging in to MyNewSchool and accessing your financial aid information in the Financial Aid Requirements section. All new students receiving financial aid in the form of federal government-supported student loans must complete an Entrance Loan Counseling session online at studentaid.gov.
If you are an international undergraduate or graduate student, learn more about funding options on the Office of Financial Aid website.
If you have not yet paid your tuition deposit, please visit your Admission Hub before continuing.
Financial Aid Guarantee
This financial aid cycle has been full of delays and confusion because of the federal FAFSA rollout. The New School is implementing a financial aid guarantee beginning for all programs beginning fall 2024, giving students and families the assurance that their institutional scholarships and grants from us will never be reduced, even if financial circumstances change or students finish a semester with a less-than-ideal GPA.
