• This program is open to qualified:

    • Advanced undergraduate students with evidence of academic accomplishment who have shown a commitment to working in the area of international affairs
    • Graduate students (master's and PhD)
    • Individuals pursuing continuing education in all fields
    • New School and non-New School applicants from the United States and around the world

Students from all professional backgrounds are eligible to apply as long as they demonstrate their interest in the program and how it connects to their goals.

The program is not recommended for people who are employed full-time.

Students who successfully complete the program earn academic credits in The New School's Studley Graduate Programs in International Affairs in accordance with the option selected. New School credits are normally transferable, but students should consult an academic advisor at their home institution to confirm transferability of the credits and application to graduation requirements. Please note that we are unable to provide incomplete grades for this course.

Records and transcripts: Students can request that a transcript of the program be mailed to another college or university by submitting the online Transcript Request to the Registrar's Office.

PROOF OF PARTICIPATION FOR NONCREDIT STUDENTS

    • All UNSS noncredit students receive a grade, either AP, meaning they passed the class, or NG, meaning that they didn't receive a grade for the course. An AP grade gives students an official transcript from the university. This transcript is proof that you attended and successfully completed the program.

    • UNSS participants seeking proof of participation should request a transcript through My New School. Once logged in, click on the "Academics" tab, and then on "Request a copy of your transcript."
