The New School is required to furnish a 1098-T to all students who incurred qualified tuition and related expenses during the current tax year. The 1098-T form is provided each year on or before January 31. The data that is reported on the 1098-T is based on the tax year (January 1–December 31), not the academic year.
The following IRS documents can all provide details on claiming the education tax credits.
Any questions regarding the education tax credits should be directed to a tax professional to determine if you are eligible for any education-related
tax incentives. The university cannot offer tax advice.
