    Tyler Kelley

    Profile

    Tyler J. Kelley is the author of Holding Back the River: The Struggle Against Nature on America's Waterways (Avid Reader Press/ Simon & Schuster 2021), a narrative non-fiction book about the men and women struggling to tame America's mightiest rivers. Kelley has freelanced for the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, NewYorker.com, Boston Globe, and The Economist, among other publications. At Lang he teaches News, Narrative & Design I and II in the Journalism + Design program. Before that he taught printmaking at Parsons. His previous projects include the documentary Following Seas, co-directed with his wife, Araby Kelley.
