    Anne Margaret Daniel

    Profile

    I've taught at the New School since 2001.  My degrees in American history, English, and law are from Harvard (A.B.), Georgetown (M.A.), The University of Virginia School of Law (J.D.), and Princeton (Ph.D.).  My specialties include Modern and contemporary English, Irish and American literature;  literature and law; F. Scott Fitzgerald; and contemporary American music.  My courses at The New School include classes on James Joyce, Samuel Beckett, 20thc American fiction, contemporary Anglophone drama, Henry James and Edith Wharton.    Currently, I have a book manuscript under publication review, and am working on a book about F. Scott Fitzgerald.  My articles, essays, notes and reviews, covering topics from Oscar Wilde's trials to Bob Dylan and High Modernism to Neil Gaiman, have appeared in books, critical editions, magazines and journals from The New York TImes to Hot Press to the Times Literary Supplement.  Please read my book reviews for The Spectator, essays on music at Hot Press and No Depression, and on many topics at the Huffington Post.  For more, visit my website, AnneMargaretDaniel.com.  Thank you.
