• The key to successful recruiting is a strong campus presence. This is best achieved through an integrated approach involving a range of activities. In addition to posting jobs online and meeting top-notch candidates through internship/career fairs, consider traditional and new ways to make your organization attractive to New School students.

    Internship and Job Board

All employers have access to our internship and job board, HireNew, which is the best way to get the word out to New School students and alumni. Posting is free, quick, and easy. After posting a position, it takes one to three business days to receive a response regarding approval, and we may request further information. To post a job, employers must first register for an account

Once you register, your account will be in a pending state until approved by Career Services. You can still submit job postings while your account is pending, but they will remain in a pending state until your account and the postings are approved.

    To be approved, employers must:

    • Provide a company name, business address, website, and email address
    • Provide a clearly defined company/organization description
    • Provide a thorough position description
    • Have obtained the necessary business license and tax IDs as well as sufficient funding, including identifying their funding model and investors, if requested
    • Verify that they are not seeking potential partners or investors
    • Offer positions for pay. Internship compensation must comply with the federal government Fact Sheet #71

Please note: When creating your employer account, you must select an industry from the drop-down menu and include a link to your organization's website. If you cannot provide this information, please email [email protected] to let us know more about where you are in the development process. Any employer who fails to provide their industry, website link, or email explanation will automatically be rejected.

Employers who had an account with The New School before 2018 can access it by using the "Forget Password" link and entering the same email address on their account. As a security precaution, they will need to reset your password, since we have recently changed career systems.
