Recent Updates: Visit our COVID-19 Community Guide for information about in-person teaching and learning this fall.

  • The newcard, The New School's official identification card, gives you access to university buildings and services at various campus facilities, including academic technology labs and libraries. You must present your newcard when you attend events on campus. If you have added Newcard Cash or are on a dining plan, your newcard can be used as a debit card at campus dining facilities and off-campus merchants. You can also use your newcard to receive student discounts at many local businesses and venues.

    How to Get Your Newcard

For fall 2021 semester ID cards, please submit your picture at the Card Services online portal. This picture submission will help us expedite the creation of your newcard. If you have any questions, please contact Campus Card Services at newcard@newschool.edu.

If you are a domestic or international student who will not be living in on-campus housing or new-hire staff or faculty, please email newcard@newschool.edu to get your ID card.

On-Campus Resident Students: On-campus resident students will receive their ID cards upon check-in at their dorms.
