    Curriculum

The minor in Economics requires completion of five courses, distributed as shown below.

Economics courses should be chosen carefully and taken in the correct order. The introductory course, ULEC 2231, serves as a point of entry for all other courses in the department. ULEC 2231, LECO 3877, and LECO 3823 together constitute the theoretical core of the Economics curriculum. As such, LECO 3877 and LECO 3823 are different from 3000-level elective courses, which generally require some familiarity with the contents of LECO 3877 and/or LECO 3823. Students who minor in Economics should complete LECO 3877 or LECO 3823 as soon as possible after they have completed ULEC 2231 and before they enroll in a 3000-level course. See the university course catalog for spring 2025 Economics courses that fulfill these requirements.

The minor in Economics requires completion of the following five courses, distributed as follows, and a minimum of 18 credits:

    Total credits: 18-19

Students must receive a grade of C or better in all courses taken to fulfill the minor.
