The Milano School is designed for pragmatic idealists who want to put their passion for positive social change into practice. Here graduate students learn to become transformative leaders of large and small organizations specializing in environmental sustainability, public and urban policy, innovation management, organizational change, inclusive leadership, and more. The school’s graduate degrees and certificate programs combine progressive theory and influential research with real-world experiences.

Built on a distinctive academic approach, the School of Media Studies offers graduate degrees and certificate programs that integrate the meaning, making, and management of media. The school’s multidimensional perspective — incorporating everything from screenwriting and documentary filmmaking to social media and digital storytelling —  allows students to prepare for careers in a rapidly changing media landscape.

The MA and MS degree programs in International Affairs are designed to develop engaged, reflective global citizens prepared to make the world more inclusive, just, and sustainable. Students and faculty tackle pressing global issues in social and economic rights, urban and community development, new media and technology, environmental justice, migration, international law, conflict, and peacebuilding. Integral to the curriculum are field-based learning opportunities and engagement with the United Nations.

Consisting of small workshops and literature seminars led by an internationally recognized faculty of renowned authors, the Creative Writing MFA is dedicated to developing students’ craft. The Creative Writing Program is among the preeminent graduate writing programs in the world, offering concentrations in Arts Writing, Fiction, Nonfiction, Poetry, and Writing for Children and Young Adults. Its location in New York City, the publishing capital of the world, allows students direct access to literary agents and editors transforming the world of publishing.

The Bachelor’s Program for Adults and Transfer Students was created specifically for working professionals and experienced adults seeking an alternative to the traditional undergraduate experience. The program gives students the flexibility and individual guidance they need to complete their degrees through a personalized path of study that fits their interests, goals, and schedules.
