  • The New School is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE, 1007 North Orange Street, 4th Floor, MB #16, Wilmington, DE 19801). MSCHE is an institutional accreditor and federally recognized body. The New School has been accredited by MSCHE since 1960. The New School is an accredited institution and a member of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE or the commission), msche.orgThe New School’s accreditation status is Non-Compliance Warning. The commission’s most recent action on the institution’s accreditation status on November 21, 2024, was to warn the institution. MSCHE is authorized by the U.S. Secretary of Education to conduct accreditation and pre-accreditation (candidate status) activities for institutions of higher education, including distance, correspondence education, and direct assessment programs offered at those institutions. The commission’s geographical area of accrediting activities is the entire United States.

    Parsons Paris is a registered branch campus of The New School and is accredited by MSCHE. In addition, Parsons Paris has the authorization of the French Ministry of Education to operate in France.
