Overview
The Environmental Studies minor is offered through the Schools of Public Engagement.
Designed to provide students with the core information they need to understand both the natural and the social science implications of our environmental problems, the minor in Environmental Studies gives them a solid background and confidence that they
can carry out environmentally oriented activities. The minor is intended to help them better understand the rapidly developing environmental field and become active participants in the discussion of environmental issues and to help them integrate environmental understanding into their other areas of study and their professional careers. As global climate change, for example, begins to take on truly large dimensions, it is important that we prepare students for their lives as active citizens.
