Payment is made per course at the time of registration. A $40 non-refundable registration fee applies each semester you register for a course.
Tuition for noncredit certificate students for the 2024–2025 academic year is shown below. These figures do not include books and other materials. Tuition for undergraduate credit follows the university's credit price structure. Tuition may increase over time.

The New School does not offer financial aid for certificate programs unless the courses are taken as part of an undergraduate degree program. However, TESOL Certificate students may qualify for veterans' education benefits administered by the U.S. Department
of Veterans Affairs. Students may also be able to obtain private tuition assistance. The HEGIS code for the program is 5608.00.
