The 2025 New York String Orchestra Seminar (NYSOS) arts management 
internship is a paid position open to highly qualified students pursuing
 studies in arts management, student musicians considering transitioning
 to music administration, and individuals
    who intend to pursue entrepreneurial careers combining roles as 
creative artists and administrators. During the 11 days of the seminar, 
interns master skills related to arts administration through hands-on 
experiences and small group discussions.
    The internships are overseen by the director of New School Concerts.
 Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, and although there is no 
upper age limit, preference is given to currently enrolled full-time 
students. Interns are required to stay
    in the housing provided by the seminar (in dual occupancy rooms). 
Meals and local transportation are provided. Interns must arrange and 
pay for their own transportation to and from New York City.
Dates
The NYSOS management internship, a paid opportunity running December 
18–28, 2025, is open to highly qualified students pursuing studies in 
arts management, student musicians considering transitioning to music 
administration, and students intending to
    combine roles as creative artists and administrators for their 
careers. Four internships are available. Past interns have gone on to 
arts management positions in operations, production, and development and
 have pursued careers combining performance
    and roles as artistic and executive directors of music festivals and
 programs.

- Must arrange and pay for own transportation to and from New York City
Application Timeline
- August 1: Application period opens
- October 3: Application period closes
- September 29–October 17: Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis
- October 17: Accepted interns receive an invitation to participate
