• The Open Enrollment period begins on Monday, October 21, 2024, and ends on Friday, November 15, 2024. Changes made to your coverage will go into effect on January 1, 2025.

The New School has designed a benefits plan to meet the diverse needs of our employees. Please review this important information regarding your elections. Your benefits plan information can be reviewed in the Benefits Overview.

    Important Reminder

You cannot change or adjust your benefit elections outside of the Open Enrollment period unless you experience a qualifying event, such as marriage, divorce, the birth or adoption of a child, or a gain or loss of coverage. Benefits that are governed by this rule include all medical and dental elections and flexible spending.

Benefit changes due to a qualifying life event must be made within 31 days of the event and require submission of supporting documentation. After 31 days, changes to medical, dental, and flex spending benefits must be made during Open Enrollment.
