BA/BFA Dual-Degree Advising
Holistic success advising is essential for all students but is of even greater importance for BA/BFA students. Our integrated advising model is designed to help you explore new disciplines and areas of study, create your own specialized degree pathway, and discover passions that will shape your future endeavors.
All students pursuing a BA/BFA dual degree have a dedicated academic and career advisor to help them plan a program of study and meet the academic requirements of both colleges. Brian Dudley advises Lang/Parsons BAFA students with a BFA major in Architectural
Design, Fashion Design, Design History and Practice, Integrated Design, Interior Design, or Product Design, as well as all Lang/JCM BAFA students. Amanda Harris advises Lang/Parsons
BAFA students with a BFA major in Communication Design, Design and Technology, Illustration, or Photography.
BA/BFA students have access to the BA/BFA Bridge, an aggregate of resources compiled specifically for dual-degree students. BAFA students with additional questions should contact their Student Success advisor.
BA/BFA students are given priority in the registration process to ensure that they have access to required courses and to avoid scheduling conflicts and may find the University Course Catalog a useful tool. It is essential that BA/BFA students review their academic progress carefully with their advisor before they register.
