    Profile

    Sandra Mathey Garcia-Rada is a fashion researcher and trend consultant with experience working in the fashion industry in Latin America, the United States of America and Europe. She is a graduate of the Fashion Design program from the Fashion Institute of Technology and from the MA Fashion Studies program at Parsons Paris.

    Her work lies at the intersection of fashion and cultural analysis. As a trend consultant, she works with Latin American brands to identify the trends that work with their brand's target market to improve its competitive positioning. As a researcher, she explores the legacy of colonialism in contemporary fashion practices.

    Mathey Garcia-Rada is a big proponent of bridging the gap between the fashion industry and the field of fashion studies through her work as an educator and through a bimonthly newsletter.
