  • In this dynamic BFA program, you explore the intersections of art, design, and technology. You become a design thinker and practitioner through creative work that is grounded in a social and political context. Whether in art and design studios or liberal arts courses, you contribute to emerging areas of creative practice through innovative approaches. This program is only offered on the Parsons Paris campus and benefits from access to unique Parisian cultural institutions and resources.

    Program Highlights

    • Interdisciplinary Artistry

Connect established zones of creative practice and experiment beyond traditional disciplines in studio projects that involve ideation, research, writing, and prototyping.

    • Human-Centered Approaches

Develop strong skills in storytelling and creative expression and examine human participation across art media, technology, and design.

    • Purposeful Practice

Study a range of artistic communication networks — both online and offline — and question the ethical use of existing and future technologies.

    • Paris Perspectives

Access exhibitions, artist talks, and performances at world-class Paris venues such as the Palais de Tokyo, the Gaité Lyrique, the Centre Georges Pompidou, and the Centquatre.

    • Cultural Immersion

Take advantage of French language courses that help you develop the communication skills needed for local internships and post-graduation job opportunities.

    • Degree Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA)
    • Format Full-time, on campus
    • Duration 4 years
  • Curriculum

Your BFA begins with the first-year curriculum, which serves as the academic foundation for all undergraduate programs at Parsons Paris. After developing an understanding of narrative forms and techniques across variable media, you explore how your creative expression is received through an analysis of audience, participation, and human response. Your final thesis project integrates research, making, and writing.
