The Public and Urban Policy PhD application must be received by December 15. Only complete applications will be reviewed. All supporting materials must be received by the deadline. The Public and Urban Policy PhD program does not accept spring applications.
Master’s and Advanced Certificate Applicants: To be most competitive for admission and merit scholarship consideration, please apply before the priority deadline. We will continue to review applications submitted after the deadline if space is available
in the program. The Admission Committee will make a decision on your application only after all the required materials have been received. Please email us at [email protected] to ask if we are
still reviewing applications.
Prior Degree Completion
Master's or advanced certificate applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university or the equivalent degree from a university outside the United States. Applicants in the process of completing the bachelor's degree
may apply for admission. Admission to the program relies on completion of the bachelor's degree.
Applicants to the PhD in Public and Urban Policy must hold a master's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university or the equivalent degree from a university outside the United States, in addition to a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Applicants
in the process of completing their master's degree may apply for admission.

Our degree and certificate programs welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds, including working professionals, recent college graduates, and career changers. We conduct a holistic review of all admission applications. GRE and GMAT test scores are not required.
