    Andre Chez Lewis

    Profile

    Andre Chez Lewis, is a Grammy Award winning pianist, music director, arranger, orchestrator and music instructor. 

    Currently serving as the music director and pianist for the legendary Dionne Warwick. Chez is also a protege of the renowned pianist, the late Dr. Barry Harris.

    Chez has worked with several Broadway productions, off-Broadway productions, and was the keyboardist / organist for the Grammy Award winning Brooklyn Tabernacle for 17 years. He has been cast as a pianist in major films and television shows including Bob Dylan’s pianist, Paul Griffin in the Bob Dylan biopic "A Complete Unknown", and as a jazz pianist in the television series "Godfather of Harlem." Chez has partnered with the piano company, C. Bechstein.

    Chez holds a BFA in Jazz and Contemporary Music, from The New School's College of Performing Arts.

    Pianist and organist on the 2026 Grammy Award winning album "I Will Not Be Moved" by The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir  

    Received the "Special Achievement Award" at the 53rd Annual Audelco Awards for Excellence in Black Theater in 2025  

    Received the "Alice and John Coltrane Award of Excellence" from The New School's College of Performing Arts in 2022  

    Received the "Young Lion Award" from the Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium at the 19th Annual Central Brooklyn Jazz Festival in 2018  

    Received the "Rising Star Award" at the 41st Annual Audelco Awards for Excellence in Black Theatre in 2013
