    Member Cabrini Quartet, Finckel Cello Quartet, Brooklyn Philharmonic. Former member Steve Reich and Musicians, Contemporary Chamber Ensemble, Ensemble 21, Eberli Ensemble, Ysaye Quartet.  Former Principal Cello Vermont State Symphony, Orchestra of Our Time and Bethlehem Bach Festival Orchestra.  Solo appearances with Vermont State Symphony, Utica Symphony, Syracuse Symphony, Sage City Symphony.  Performances under Pierre Boulez (New York Philharmonic Rug Concert series).  Recordings on CRI, Dorian, ECM/Warner Bros., Deutsche Grammophon, Nonsuch, Opus 1 labels. Director, Sage City Symphony since 1991. Conducting studies with Henry Brant and Pierre Monteux. For composition a Virgil Thomas Award and four Meet the Composer Grants. Former Faculty, Cornell University, Princeton University, Bennington College.  Faculty Kinhaven Adult Chamber Music Workshop since 1999; Composers Conference and Chamber Music Center since 1970; Chamber Music Center and Composers’ Forum of the East since 1980; Hoff-Barthleson School of Music since 1999; Mannes Preparatory Division since 2003.
