    Visiting The New School's New York City campus gives you a sense of the culture, coursework, and student life at the school. Meet current students and faculty, sit in on classes, have lunch at our cafeteria, and take in the neighborhood. If you're not in the area, check out our virtual campus tour to see our campus from afar. Then, plan a visit to experience firsthand our distinctive academic programs and beautiful facilities.

    Campus Tours for Students and Parents

    The New School's Welcome Center, located at 72 Fifth Avenue, is the first stop for visitors to our Greenwich Village campus.

    Welcome Center Hours

    • Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m.-5:45 p.m.
    • Friday, 9:00 a.m.-4:45 p.m.
    • Saturday, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

    Campus visits will not be available August 20-25 because of New Student Orientation.

    Residence halls are not included on these tours. Campus housing tours are offered as open houses and do not require pre-registration. More information about on-campus residences can be found on the Student Housing website.

    How to Register

    To register online for campus tours, class visits, or information sessions, or for off-campus events, visit our Undergraduate Events and/or Graduate Events websites or use the quick links below.

    Group Tours

    If you would like to arrange a special group tour for your class or organization, submit the Special Tour Request form below. (Special tours are available only to groups, not individuals.)

Undergraduates

To apply to any of our Bachelor's programs (Except the Bachelor's Program for Adult Transfer Students) complete and submit the Common App online.

Graduates and Adult Learners

To apply to any of our Master's, Doctural, Professional Studies Diploma, Graduate Certificate, or Associate's programs, or to apply to the Bachelor's Program for Adult and Transfer Students, complete and submit the New School Online Application.
