Paul D. Coverdell Fellows Program
Selected by the Peace Corps as a Paul D. Coverdell Fellows program partner, The New School, through its Schools of Public Engagement, has welcomed returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) as Coverdell Fellows for the past two decades. The New School and
the Peace Corps share the goal of bringing about positive social and economic change in underserved communities around the globe. Here you can acquire skills and knowledge that will help you make a difference in the world.
At The New School, RPCVs benefit from the guidance of a dedicated faculty of scholars and professionals and from opportunities to apply classroom learning to serve the public good through project- and field-based learning. This unique educational methodology

Coverdell Fellows at the Schools of Public Engagement enjoy the following benefits:

Fellowship Benefits and Application Requirements
Coverdell Fellowships are competitive and include tuition scholarships of up to 75 percent of tuition costs and mandatory university fees. In addition to fulfilling program admission requirements, you must submit the Peace Corps Description of Service
along with your application when applying for a Coverdell Fellowship.

Improving the World by Degrees
More than 200 RPCVs have completed their graduate studies at The New School. Through the contacts and networks they develop in our programs, graduates are able to apply the passion and courage that brought them to the Peace Corps to jobs in government,
NGOs and other nonprofit organizations, and socially conscious businesses around the world. As a Coverdell Fellow at The New School, you will help fulfill the Peace Corps' Third Goal: to promote a better understanding of other peoples among Americans.
