Once you have all the information described above, you can begin your application for student housing.

1. Log in to the Housing Portal.
2. Click the Housing Application on the home page.
3. Electronically sign the Housing License Agreement.
4. Pay the required non-refundable housing deposit of $350.

Your Housing Application is not complete until you have paid the $350 housing deposit. You must also click submit on the final page in order for your application to be considered officially submitted.

Application Deadline

You must apply by the priority deadline of 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024, in order to secure on-campus housing for the 2024–2025 academic year.

• February 8: Housing Application goes live.
• April 5: 2:00 p.m. deadline for submitting the Housing Application.
• Mid-April: Housing assignments are released.
• August 25: Current student move-in.
• August 26: First day of classes.

In accordance with applicable federal, state, and city disability laws, The New School's Student Disability Services (SDS) office will review your request for housing accommodations.

These accommodations are determined on a case-by-case basis, taking students' documented disability-related needs and prevailing standards for reasonable accommodations into consideration. Students will have the opportunity to submit the Housing Accommodations Request form in the Housing Portal as they complete their housing preference form.
