    Kien Chu is a designer, maker and educator for nearly 30 years. His experience within American fashion has included roles in design, illustration, merchandising and 3D technical development for brands such as Mr. Beene by Geoffrey Beene, Vivienne Tam, Lance Karesh and Hanky Panky. This breadth of experiences, from diverse markets and design classifications, has informed his teaching medium at Parsons since 2005. He has developed syllabi and taught within B.F.A., S.I.S and Academy Fashion Design programs that encompasses Concept development, Fashion Drawing and Creative Technical Studio. In addition to teaching, he is the principal and creator of a lifestyle brand called, cloth of stillness, an exploration of how cloth | clothes can support and integrate stillness practices of the body, heart and mind into the stream entry of life.
