John Bauernfeind holds an MA in menswear from Central St. Martins and a BFA in womenswear from Parsons School of Design. His background encompasses Creative Direction in Menswear and Womenswear, Trend Forecasting, Fashion Illustration and Costume Design at brands such as Calvin Klein, Emanuel Ungaro, Pollini, BCBG, Stylesight/ WGSN and French performance artist ORLAN. Additionally, John has also taught across the US at the Savannah College of Design, Academy of Art University and at the California College of Arts.
John’s research focuses includes American Innovation, Speculative Fashion Design and Human Centered Design for underserved populations.
