    Assistant Professor Product and Industrial Design

    Profile:

    George Plionis is a designer who engages in interdisciplinary collaboration and has worked with fashion designers, ceramicists, graphic designers, glass blowers and others. In 1991 he established a successful jewelry design practice, his work exhibited widely and selected as finalist for national jewelry design competitions. He has taught at Parsons School of Design and Open Campus at The New School in the first year program, BFA Product Design, jewelry design electives, and summer intensives. In 2018 he received an MFA in Industrial Design from Parsons School of Design, winning awards with Roche Bobois and Corelle and in 1991 received a Bachelor of Education in Design at the University of South Australia.
