Profile
Eva Perez de Vega is an architect, designer and educator. She is founding partner at e+i studio, an architecture and design firm based in NYC focusing on projects that engage the public balancing social and environmental parameters with aesthetic innovation and ecological empathy. Prior to establishing e+i studio, Eva was lead design architect at Reiser+Umemoto.
Eva holds a Masters and Bachelors degree in Architecture from the University of Madrid, School of Architecture (ETSAM) specializing in Building Structures and a Masters in Philosophy from the New School For Social Research, with a certificate in Gender and Sexuality studies. She is currently a PhD candidate in Philosophy at the New School.
She has been teaching architecture and design at Parsons since 2004, and teaches architecture at Pratt School of Architecture, and previously at the University of Pennsylvania School of Landscape Architecture and Princeton School of Architecture. She has been an invited guest critic at Columbia, UPenn, Princeton, City College among others. Eva has lectured at a variety of venues and presented widely at academic conferences, including at Oxford for British Society For Aesthetics, the two Architecture + Philosophy conferences held in Boston, and a number of ACSA conferences, as well as panels on Climate Crisis talks, Animal Ethics and Feminist theory.
Eva is a fellow from the New York Foundation For the Arts in category ‘Architecture and Environmental Structures’, an award recipient from Architecture For Humanity, Emerging NY Architects, among others, and three-time recipient of grants from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council.
Originally from Rome, Italy, with British and Spanish nationality, she has been in New York City since 2001.
