    Profile

Carrie E Neal is an educator, administrator and artist who has spent the last 23 years working in, and with, education institutions, small companies, government and NGOs. As a process facilitator and coach, she has led curricular and structural change, created and facilitated learning and leadership development opportunities at several local and national organizations.    Carrie comes to the table as an integral thinker, making connections between diverse fields of study, and finds ways to connect the ethereal with the practical. Bringing interest and training in design thinking, strategic analysis, facilitation, social justice, and education, she partners with folks individually and in teams to assess current situations and make plans for the future.   Carrie is currently exploring story, ritual, object, representations of self and portraiture, and how these personal perspectives intersect with systemic and ideological perspectives. She has been investigating collective intersubjective spaces and how the creation of these spaces and the development of imaginative capacities in the participants involved in them could lead to anti-oppressive pedagogies.   As an artist and maker, Carrie's work spans multiple disciplines including video, multimedia theater projects, book making, and quilting. She is interested in creating contemporary heirlooms that can be gifted into future generations. Through creating artifacts and usable art, and by exploring peoples stories, identity, desires and relationship with themselves, Carrie supports and challenges people to understand and reflect on themselves in new ways.   Carrie has a BFA in Sculpture, and MAs in Teaching from Manhattanville College, and Media Studies from The New School. She is also completing a MA Consciousness Studies and Transpersonal Psychology at The Graduate Institute with a research focus on intersubjectivity in groups, and is currently enrolled in a MS in Organizational Change Management at The New School with a focus on authenticity in leadership. Carrie is an ICF Credentialed coach and certified in (CQ) Change Intelligence.
