  • Your time at the Milano School provides you with intensive, hands-on preparation for your career as a transformative leader. You will enter your chosen field with a professional portfolio and highly developed analytical and managerial skills. Many students find positions during their course of study, often with the help of The New School’s Center for Graduate Career and Professional Development. The Milano School’s alumni network of nearly 8,000 graduates lead sustainable development, organizational change, and new urban initiatives for some of the world’s most influential organizations.

  • As soon as you begin your first year of study, you can start taking advantage of the extensive services of The New School's Center for Graduate Career and Professional Development. The office works directly with recruiting employers and offers help with career planning and decision making, networking, and referrals.

    • One of the most important things that I learned at Milano was how to structure my thoughts. The policy analysis classes in the beginning of the program were a key step towards developing a structured approach to problem solving/policy analysis.

    • Milano was a series of ‘aha’ moments. I kept finding reasons for and descriptions of experiences I’d had managing staff. It was refreshing to better understand why it’s so hard to make sweeping, lasting change, and to gain tools that are helpful when I find myself in those situations today.
