    Profile

    Professionally active as a theorist and pianist with special interest in music of our own time. Faculty and administrative positions held at Bates College, Adelphi University, Stony Brook University, New York University, and Iceland University of the Arts. At Mannes School of Music since 2002, first as full-time administrator (Assistant Dean, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs), and then as part-time faculty in the Techniques of Music Department.  Most recent elective topics included “The Piano and Vocal Music of Aaron Copland” and “The Music and Culture of Iceland”.  Retired from classroom teaching in Spring 2023.  Currently available for special projects and independent study.
