    Students in Writing develop a unique authorial voice informed by an acquired familiarity with contemporary and classic styles. Courses emphasize essential communicative and research skills, a profound understanding of craft, and the development of personal voice in an encouraging atmosphere.     Curriculum

    Requirements for the Writing Minor

    One LLSW introductory writing workshop in primary genre of choice (3-4 credits)
    One LLSW intermediate writing workshop in primary genre of choice (3-4 credits)
    One LLSW advanced writing workshop in primary genre of choice (4 credits)
    One LLST single-author Literary Studies course (4 credits)
    One LLST Reading for Writers Literary Studies course (4 credits)

    Total credits: 18-20

    Students must receive a grade of C or better in every course used to fulfill area of study requirements.

    Self-Designed Major (BA or BS, Liberal Arts)

    Students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts can pursue deeper study in the literary arts through the self-designed major. To explore this option, contact an academic advisor and read more about the self-designed option at Lang.
